The 1/2017 issue of Arhitectura magazine is a special number presenting the Passive House concept, illustrating it with a few certified buildings / projects from Romania. It was curated by Marius Șoflete and Simina Stan, who invited us to present the J House still in construction.
The "Media Architectural Prize" is the biggest, annual, architecture event in Hungary organized by epiteszforum.hu. The international jury selected 5 buildings and 5 projects which will compete and will be presented at the gala event in November the 18th, 2017. Our refuge network in Szeklerland, despite the fact that it's an older project, has been published only this year on epiteszforum, hence nominated. We're really happy to land among the finalists.
The first edition of the Transilvanian Architecture Biennale, (BATRA) featured two Blipsz projects: Bungalows in Odorheiu Secuiesc, and The Social Plant in Toplita which has won the first prize in the Public buildings category. It's theme, the conversion of a former heating plant into an integrated social center fitted well with the "generate, regenerate" concept of this edition of the biennale.
"Beyond the City" (Dincolo de oraș) is an exposition and book published by Zeppelin about rural contemporary architecture in Romania. The project makes an analisys of the transformations and processes that define the current built environment in the countryside.
BLIPSZ + ATELIER FKM 's project is presented among 14 other works from Romania in the first volume (Housing) from the upcoming series "Romanian Architecture in Details" published by Ozalid. The launching event will be held Monday 17/12/2012 in the Ion Mincu house in Bucharest.
István Pásztor is an invited speaker at the International Architecture Conference "RIFF 2012" held at JW Marriott Grand Hotel Bucharest between the 19th and 20th of November. István will present in the "Roofs" section a lecture entitled "Microclimate, terrain and the lawn rolled up the roof"
Romanian National Participation in the New Gallery of the Romanian Institute for Culture and Humanistic Research (Cannaregio, 2214 – 30121) at the 13th International Architecture Biennale Venice open until the 25th of November. HEAD UP! is a project by Atelier Mass.
The latest issue of Zeppelin magazine introduces blipsz architecture. Three projects were selected for publishing: Hajdo house, the Heating Plant Conversion (currently under construction) and the Tourist Shelter Prototypes (Reception hut).
Atelier Mass architecture studio curated the latest special issue of the Arhitext magazine, nr. 224, dealing with the concept of Soft Utopias. Our office was selected among 7 other young teams to develop a future vision in the Romanian context. You can find our project on page 83 - "The future will be green, anyhow"
Area 3 / Blipsz was selected to meet the team of Umbauwerkstatt from Linz, AT first in Vienna on the 10th of June then in Cluj on the 31th of August during the Project Space workshop.
