The House on a Sloping Site responds to the challenge of a steep mountain terrain through a simple, sober volumetry integrated into the landscape. The layout makes use of the natural level difference: the semi-buried basement accommodates the night and technical areas, while the elevated ground floor hosts the day zone, opening towards the courtyard and mountain panorama. The Peakture Balvanyos Hotel is an extension of the Grand Hotel Balvanyos and Grand Santerra Spa, connected underground to the existing complex. The 7-level building includes two underground floors for the spa — with a semi-Olympic pool, interactive children’s area, treatment rooms, and relaxation spaces — and five above ground.
